Our clients went to spectacular lengths on Friday to raise funds for Children in Need. DE Healthcare, Chase Grammar and Busy Bees Nursery Group all got involved with a range of activities to raise as much money as possible.
DE Healthcare had a back-to-school theme event, where tenants dressed up at school pupils and went to The Hub to celebrate the day. Clients and staff donated a pound for entrance to the cause. Not only did they raise a pretty sum, the tenants also had a brilliant afternoon of fun and games at the community hub in Uttoxeter.
Chase Grammar School
Chase Grammar School also made an effort to raise cash by allowing Pudsey to take over its rehearsal of the famous Nutcracker ballet. Though too big for a tutu and ballet slippers, Pudsey led the early years and infants class from Lyncroft House Preparatory School through the classic moves ahead of its upcoming Christmas performance.
The session was led by Emma Bate from Epic Dance Academy, who was also joined by two students from the world-renowned Elmhurst Ballet School. Kianna Stephens and Niamh Robinson, who are in their senior year at the associate school of the Birmingham Royal Ballet, demonstrated how the moves could look with some practise.
Busy Bees Nursery Group took part in a ‘spotacular’-themed celebration. To kick of the fundraising, staff planned a fun-filled day of spotty-themed activities for each nursery. Children were sponsored to wear spots and enjoyed arts and crafts throughout the day.
The older children started their own enterprise by selling bacon rolls to visiting parents, while the younger children hosted a cake sale - raising hundreds of pounds for the charity.
It’s great to see our clients getting involved in such a great cause, we look forward to seeing what they have planned for 2018!
